Hello! I'm Louis. I build digital products without code. I also write stuff online.

I live a dual life. During the day, I work with my family to run an offline-first business in my hometown – the coastal state of Goa, located on the west coast of India. At night, I build assets on the internet.

I started my journey as a creator on the internet with a newsletter called Complexity Condensed. It was fun but way too tiring. Writing is difficult work. And no matter how experienced you are, it never gets easier. After realizing this I decided to work on things that could survive without constant effort. I decided to build digital products. But I had a problem – I couldn't code.

I had two options – teach myself how to code, or learn the most cutting-edge no-code tool I could get my hands on (Bubble). I chose the latter. Why? Because I'm impatient. So far, I'm having a blast, and I don't regret it one bit.

Products I've built

I'm addicted to building digital products. Some of the things I've built have (expectedly) died. Some are slowly dying. And some are alive and kicking. Here's a list:

Dead

  • Community Queue: Kickstarter for communities. A tool that helps you start a waitlist to grow a community to critical mass before you launch it.

    • Why I shut it down: Too much going on. I want to resurrect this in a few months when I have more time. But for now, it's on pause.

  • Crypto Alfred: A tool that sent NFT floor price data to your inbox at a frequency of your choice.

    • Why I shut it down:

      • I didn't have time to dedicate to marketing it. As a result, I got barely any customers and I was demotivated.

      • I struggled with some of the technical bits – working with the OpenSea API wasn't exactly easy for me, and I couldn't afford errors, especially since people were paying for the tool to help them make financial decisions.

  • Podium Worthy: A website that asked impressive people 4 standard questions. Think of it like Tools of Titans for the internet.

    • Why I shut it down: I had too much going on. I could not focus on it, and decided to pull the plug. Retrospectively, I wish I had given it to someone else to run.

  • Bubble Quad: A directory for all things Bubble.

    • Why I shut it down: I found it difficult to generate organic traffic. Ideally, maybe a blog would have helped with SEO, but it felt too time-consuming and boring to start one.

  • Meme Mugs: A website that let you order mugs with custom memes printed on them.

    • Why I shut it down: I was using a dropshipping company based in Europe, but a bunch of customer orders got stuck at customs. I did not want to deal with angry customers, and I did not have an easy solution to the problem.

  • Builder Bio: A link in bio tool.

    • Why I shut it down: It sucked. It was the first thing I built with Bubble, and although it was free, I was embarrassed that it existed. I transitioned all these users to a new tool that I built later.

Slowly dying

These are products that I actually like. I just struggle to find time to market them and keep making product improvements.

  • CreatorLink: A link-in-bio tool that doesn't suck. I swear. Check out my page.

  • ThreadsByMe: A tool that lets you store all your Twitter threads on a single, organized webpage.

  • Focus25: A simple website with a 25-minute countdown timer and a few Spotify playlists that are designed to help you focus.

Alive and kicking

  • Read Something Great: A website that lets you discover timeless articles on the internet.

  • Nicheless: A micro-blogging platform for thoughts outside your niche (here's a link to my blog).

  • Tiny Testimonial: A tool that helps your customers give you glowing testimonials in under 30 seconds.

  • Dumb Note: A note-taking app for your browser that is exactly one click away (this app seems super dumb, but use it for a couple of days and I bet you'll love it!).

  • Half Day Build: An event I organize every 2 months in which a bunch of us builders aim to go from idea to revenue in under 12 hours. It's always a challenge, and most of us fail, but it's great fun!

  • Spatial Task List: A Notion-based tool that helps you work on your most important tasks at your most productive hours.

  • Build Your First Dumb Bubble App: A beginner-level course for anyone looking to start building web apps with Bubble.
